We started off Jack's birthday with a donut run. We put candles in them. Yum!

We took Jack and Hank to Lucille's for dinner.

Good food!
Birthday sundae!

We then went to Downtown Disney to Ridemakers where Jack and Hank got to make their own remote control car.
Getting ready to put it all together.
After making their cars we went to get what I think is the best treat ever! Mickey pants caramel apples. We also got a World of Color Mickey apple. SO GOOD!

Jack's Baseball Birthday Trip

Jack, Trevor and Hank got a baseball from one of the Orioles players
Jack got to bring a friend from school to the Angels game tonight. They had a fun time. We got them tickets near the right field so they could try to catch a foul ball. They have been wanting to do that all season. Our other seats were so good, but they were behind home plate and the boys always wanted to catch a ball.

Lily and Rosie

This cute picture was taken on the way home from picking up Rosie. Lily loves her so much! Lily is looking so old. How did she get to be almost 5!

Welcome, Rosie!

Yes, I am crazy. This is our new dog, Rosie. She is smaller than Rockit, weighing in at about 6 lbs. The pound said they thought she was a year old, but the lady we got her from thinks she may only be about 6 months old. She is recovering from being neglected, so she is getting over a cold and her coat is a little mangy. She is very skinny right now too. She is a loving, playful dog and is really keeping Rockit in line so far :) I was pretty confident he would come out to be the dominant one, but she is one tough cookie! Rockit seems to be having a blast chasing her around the house and yard. His tail hasn't stopped wagging. She is eating well, playing with toys and having a good time. She is coughing and sneezing a bit so I am taking her to the vet tomorrow to get a check up and maybe a good grooming. My kids are so in love. It is actually very cute to watch them with the dogs.

Early Halloween

These costumes were at Costco and we couldn't pass them up. Will is Spiderman, of course. Lily is a princess from Barbie Fashion Fairytale. It is a new movie that will be coming out soon (or so Lily tells me.)
Hank wanted to match Will. He really is the best big brother. I couldn't have asked for more. Such a caring, sweet, generous boy. :)

My friend Kristin Eldridge took these pictures of her son's birthday parties. She is an amazing children's photographer. Check out her pictures... you will be amazed.

Hometown Buffet

I had a coupon for Hometown Buffet so I thought it might be fun for us all to go. In my head I had made it into something it definitely is not. It was not great. Gross really. The kids loved it, probably because they had icee to drink with their dinners of mostly fried food (and 3 desserts). Ick. At any rate. I don't think we will be going back. I realized that I only chose really unhealthy things to eat, but felt better when I looked around and saw only unhealthy things offered. I guess that is why the restaurant was mostly full of overweight or really old people.

Flugtag!

Enjoying a frito boat.
Hank watching out for the flugtag to begin!
Jack watching
Enjoying a caramel apple.

Yum!

Darin and I braved the crowds and the heat and took the family to see Redbull's Flugtag down at Rainbow Harbor. It was crazy busy with people everywhere, but we found a semi shady spot from which we could see the crafts launch and watched almost half before we had enough. While standing in the crowds to get hotdogs and soda I realized I despise most of humanity...at least when they are drunk and crowded around me on a boardwalk. Despite the crowds it was actually a fun way to spend the day. Darin said later that there were 105,00 people there. It felt like it.

A burst of craftiness

Prince ? (Lily calls him Luke) from Beauty and the Beast relaxes on his new bed.

She is so excited!
I made four beds all together. Lily really wanted one for each of her Barbies, but this is all I could make today.
Snow White, Prince Luke, Prince Eric and Belle take a rest.
She was so excited. She has really been into playing with her Barbies lately. She is going to get a giant Barbie house for her birthday, but she has been asking for beds for them. I looked it up on the computer and found this site www.thestitchedpocket.blogspot.com with really easy and cute things to make for Barbies. I am not a very crafty person, just daring, so they are not that perfectly made, but she loves them That smile is really all that counts.
