Baseball in Fresno

Hank is on the blue team. They haven't named themselves yet. We bought new gloves, baseball pants and socks and cleats today. So they will be looking snazzy in the next set of pictures!
Jack is the short stop. He didn't get his shirt yet.

Jack's game was after Hank's. Lily, Will and Hank played in the sand while Jack played.

Jack up to bat. This year it is baseball for both the boys.

Today was the first day of baseball in Fresno for Jack and Hank. It is every Saturday morning
from today until May 16. Hank is on a 6 and 7 year old team and Jack is on an 8-10 year old team. Jack has several friends from home playing on his team so that is also fun. This is a league put on by a local church in Fresno. It is an awesome atmosphere, really laid back. It was a warm morning and a very early one as we had to leave home at 6:45 to get there on time. Lily refused to eat breakfast this morning, so she ended up throwing up in the car on the way to town. It's always an adventure. We really enjoyed our time though, and even Lily and Will had fun and were well behaved.

Darin with Lily and Will
Hank and little brother Will. Will is in a "why?' stage. It was so cute to hear Will asking why to Hank about everything and Hank patiently answering his questions. Hank is a great big brother.

Holding his own hand...he came up with this on his own, but it is not an original move, Hank was famous for doing the same thing "My own hand!" he would yell. :)

Lily and I played 4 games fo Candyland today. She won 3 times ( 1 fairly...the other I contrived). This was the first time she has played and she actually did really well. Thanks Grandma for the new game and the pretty dress!)

The boys played outside with friends after school.

Two very excited Pizza Makers!

Not sure what these expressions mean....except I am fairly certain it has something to do with TROUBLE.

Each of them got their own to work on...

As of Thursday of last week most of the snow had melted...and I had chipped away the ice off the deck. Will went out to play and was running in circles on the deck saying "Happy!" over and over again.
Sunday morning we woke up to this snow....

All dressed up for the snow

Enjoying the snow for a moment before his hands got too cold.
Today when Darin took the boys to school it was 1 Degree. Such a bummer. .. I was so enjoying the warm sunshine and the melting snow.

Swimming at the Hotel

Grandma and Mom...sitting out the second day of swimming...too cold.

Excited to go swimming!!

On Friday we went to Fresno and did some shopping, had luch and dinner out and then checked into a local hotel. We made sure it had an indoor pool. The kids had a blast swimming on Friday night and Saturday before we took Grandma to the airport. The water was really cold and the spa had a shady filmy bubble coating that really grossed the grown ups out...

Grandma and Lily in the pool.

Darin and Will...he insisted on wearing the goggles the whole time.

Jack...It was really cold.

Jack took a picture of Hank underwater

He also took a picture of himself!

Early Birthday presents!

Grandma McWatters bought Jack and Hank snowboards for early birthday presents. Our friend took them out to teach them the basics on the mostly melted snowboard hill. On Sunday we got some more snow so they got to go out and try again. They are having a blast. Thanks Grandma!

Like his big brothers

The big boys have been playing a slapping card game with each other. The other morning while Jack and Hank were at school I found Will on the ground "playing" his own version of their game by himself. He was even slapping the cards. It was adorable. He wants to be just like his big brothers.
