Lazy

I feel lazy. I told Darin I was feeling lazy and he told me he didn't think I was very lazy. That's because I had just finished washing and vacuuming out the cars. But I was actually just feeling lazy in my heart. I didn't want to make dinner, set the table, clean it up, bathe the kids, clean up the living room (yet again)...and the list goes on. Sometimes it is just so hard to get motivated to do the everyday tasks. I haven't posted lately. Mostly because my camera battery ran out and I didn't plug it in to charge. Another example of laziness.

New Hair

Oh how I hate photos of myself. But here are the pictures of my new haircut. It was nice to get out of the house for a few minutes today and get my hair done. I was supposed to go at 3 but she called to see if I could come in earlier. I went at 11:30 and got back at 12:45 thinking it was awesome that I missed having to make lunch today. Haha...Darin didn't feed the kids. He didn't even know what time it was. My poor children...they would be lost without me. :)

P.S. By 3 am Lily's fever had gone down to normal and all day today she had just run a slight fever. Hopefully she will kick this thing soon. So far no Urgent Care though :)

Workbench

Today our neighbors across the street gave us a toy workbench that her little boy has outgrown. Will is in HEAVEN! It is in excellent condition and all 4 of the kids have been entertained by it today!

Pray

Please pray for Lily. She is going on her 7th day of having the flu and her fever is still crazy high. Yesterday it was mostly gone, but this morning it was back up at 101 and tonight it went back up and after I got back from being out with Darin for a few hours, she woke up with a headache, cough, stomachache and a fever of 103. I took her to the doctor today and the doctor said her lungs were clear and that she thought Lily was just experiencing flu symtoms still. I am at a loss. I talked with the on call doctor tonight and she felt like I should treat the fever tonight and see how she is in the morning. If she is still bad, take her to Urgent Care. Ughhh......

The newest sick child is...

You guessed it....Lily! She came down with a fever in the middle of the night on Saturday. She has the high fever, cough, congestion, and general yucks that this flu brings.
Will is feeling a little better. Tomorrow is his last day of antibiotic. Hopefully he will continue to get better and stop coughing and his runny nose.
Poor Lily, she just looks so sad when she is sick.
I spent most of my cooped up day getting make overs from Lily and putting Geo Tracks together for Will.
Tonight I was hoping Lily would be fever free, but unfortunately she is still running a fever so that means at least 24 hours more of home confinement for her and me.

Halloween and H1N1

What happens to Batman when he has H1N1 and pneumonia.

Well the boys and Lily are off with Darin at the church for the Fall Festival and I am home here with Will. We have been battling the infamous H1N1 virus at our house now for just over a week. Hank had it first and he seems to be recovering after missing 5 days of school and topping out his fever at 105.2. He still has a lingering cough, but hopefully he will completely recover. I have had a cough, congestion and body aches for about a week also, although I never had a fever that I noticed. Will was already sick when this all started. He seemed to get better and then get a fever and a cough on Sunday. I took him in on Monday, but there was nothing to be done for him but just treat symptoms. I felt like things were going ok until last night he woke up with a fever. This morning he still had a fever, so being the ever paranoid, overly worried mother that I am, I took him and myself down to Urgent Care. After a 2 hour wait in the scary waiting room (I saw flesh wounds, swollen eyes, and very near death people) we got to see the doctor. He said that he wasn't sure that I had the flu, but that I was ok. He said that will definetly had the flu and ordered chest x-rays. He concluded that Will has a mild pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics. He proceeded to give very stern warnings about getting Darin to the doctor immediately if he presents with any symptoms. I am terrified that one of us will end up dying from this. I know that it is probably irrational, but I just feel like it is so out of my control, just as everything feels like in my life right now. I feel like I was doing my best with Will and he ended up with pneumonia. How in the world am I going to prevent Darin from getting this? Also, Lily and Jack have been coughing on and off and Darin is congested. Are these symptoms or not? Ahhh!!!! This is by far the scariest Halloween I have ever had. I know I just need to trust that God is in control. It is not up to me to keep them safe.
