Boys love cars

Will loves cars. It is his favorite thing to play. He drives them all over and spends a lot of time inspecting them as he pulls them out of the car box.

Home Improvement

The plaster on the corner of my wall in the kitchen has been missing for some time now. It has been driving me crazy every time I look at it. I have been waiting for it to get fixed for a while now and decided to take matters into my own hands. I asked around and found out what I needed to buy and how to do it, and then I did. Unfortunately, I was very eager and didn't take a before picture. I am kind of bummed about this because when I was showing Darin my accomplishment (which I think turned out amazing), he couldn't remember what had been wrong with the wall in the first place. I also repainted the bottom half of this whole wall since the floor people splashed yucky floor cement on it and it looked like someone had spilled something yellow on the wall and I was a bad housekeeper and never wiped it off. I touched up some other areas in the living room that needed repainting. I also fixed the screen door. So handy today!

Walk around the lake

My friend and I have started walking around the lake since it is getting nicer out. It has been fun to be outside and get some fresh air. It also breaks up out morning.

12 Month Check-up

Jack was forced to watch Sesame Street at the doctor's office today. I don't think he loved it, but it did seem to hold his attention...he was really bored I guess.

Jack playing with Darin's glasses. This is while we were waiting A LONG TIME for the doctor to come in. The nurse was new to us...she seemed slightly crazy. She measured Will and this time he seems to have shrunk 3/4 inch since the last appointment 3 months ago... I know he is short, but come on. I guess whoever measured him last time was also slightly crazy. He did gain weight and his head circumference is bigger. Boy he's gonna be one short, chubby, big headed kid...
This is right before his two shots. Will decided to play dumb at the doctor today. I think he was hungry and tired, but he refused to do any of the things the doctor wanted him to do. So I am pretty sure the doctor has a funny idea of what my youngest child is like. As soon as we were in the car he did everything the doctor wanted him to do...go figure.

We went down for dentist appointments too. I love my dentist. He is incredible. He is going to fix my three teeth that have worn down to the dentin (dentist speak for sore spots that aren't technically cavities) for the price of 1! Dr. KO Crosby in Fresno if anyone needs a great, honest dentist who only does what is needed on your teeth.

We had a great, busy rest of the day. Lily and Will stayed home. Jack was a dream. I guess he just needs some time with Mom and Dad. We also got presents for Hanks upcoming birthday. It was fun.

Stunt Baby

Will is 13 months old now. He can cruise around furniture and even push things while walking. He does not like to try to stand on his own or to walk. He does however love to climb up onto things. This chair, for example, is a perfect place for him to climb and stand (or try out his standing skills) He has also tried his standing skills on his riding toy. I wonder if he will do stunts as a grown up...He likes keeping me on my toes, that's for sure.

Much needed Daddy time

Playground

Will loves to sit on the slide and try to climb up it. Suprisingly he has been keeping sand eating to a minimum. It's nice not to have to hold him the whole time we are at the playground.
Daddy pushing Lily on the swing. Jack doesn't need any help. Hank was there too but I didn't seem to get a good picture.
This one is a cute one of Jack playing with Will.
Lily looks pretty grown up today. She was pleased to be wearing shoes like Dad.
Lily lives for going down slides and swinging.

Morning in the sand

Picking dandelions
Watching the pond water spill over the edge by the bridge
We took the wagon. Lily wanted to walk home though
Lily, Kai and Kale played nicely together.
Jack and Hank played catch
Will played with the wagon while the others played in the sand.
Lily and Kai
Kai had a fun sand toy that she shared with us.

Roses

These are the beautiful flowers I got from the girls at the recital. I just love them!

Ouch!

Will took a fall today in the bathroom and hit his forehead on something. It left a nasty bump on his head. Hank was "helping" him walk and then he fell and Hank says he hit his head on the trashcan, but it looks more like the cabinet corner to me. I took him to the nurse and she said she thought he was fine and it actually has started to look a lot better already, but it was scary at first. I had to give everyone the "don't help Will walk anywhere but in the middle of the living room floor with no toys or debris in the way" speech.

Other dances I choregraphed

This is a small portion of the 6th and 7th grade girl dance that I choreographed with the help of Kim. I wasn't sure I would be able to do it, I have never done anything like it...but it turned out so beautiful...

This is the kindergarten and second grader dance I choreographed. It turned out really sweet. The girls did a wonderful job.

Fairy dance

Lily is the fairy in the dance. I was worried she would get distracted and not wake all the girls up or that she would tap them awake too hard. She did a great job. During rehearsal when Brooklyn wouldn't wake up she just sat and tapped and tapped. Thankfully she just went during the actualy performance. I think this part was her favorite.

Lily's Introduction and Curtsy

This was at the end of her part of the recital.

Lily getting Flowers

At the recital the tiny ballerinas were supposed to go get the flowers off the floor, do a spin and return them to the basket. Lily really had her eyes on the blue ones, but when it was her turn they had already been taken. She took them from the basket and then returned them. It was cute.

Ballet Recital

Today was Lily's dance recital. She did a WONDERFUL job. What a sweet princess! I am sure all who read this will be sick of the recital after I post all the video and photos that I have...

Walking the Lake

Yesterday was the first time we have walked the lake this Spring. It is finally dry all the way around. It was so nice to get out and get some fresh air. Lily and Will were pretty good sports. As long as I bring enough snacks, it seems to go well. :)

Dancing Fool

On my way to Nevada last week we stopped at Baja Fresh. On her own, Lily decided to dance to the Latin groove. She's a very silly dancer!

Angel Food Cake

Hank made designs out of his dessert.
Lily wanted her photo taken too
Will loved the cake too.

New Sweater

This is the sweater Darin picked out for me in Israel. It wraps around and ties on the front right side. It is so pretty and it is really warm too. Which is perfect for this crummy cold weather we have been having here.

Will's parking garage

Jack helped me build Will's present from Grandma McWatters.
Will looked on anxiously. He couldn't keep his hands off it!
I helped a little too.
Hank took the pictures and this is the bonus photo I got! What a cute face!
Will could hardly play with it, the older boys loved the new toy too! Thanks Grandma! We love it...it's perfect!
