Front teeth are all the rage!

Jack's front tooth is coming in and I noticed that his tooth looks a lot like another one I have seen recently: Will's! They have a matching front tooth. Will only has one in the front which is kind of silly, but it's the way he rolls. I can barely see the other one under the gum so for now he will only have one front tooth. It doesn't keep him from looking cute!

I was trying to get a cute picture of him for the blog and here he is acting all crazy for the camera! I have a question for you, "Does Will look like a little girl?" I am guessing some of you must have said yes because when we were in Fresno two days ago he was called "she" and "her" at least 8 times! He was wearing blue jeans, a red henley shirt, a grey and white sweatshirt with airplanes all over it, and blue striped tennis shoes. Go figure. He can't help that he is so pretty!

Change

Tonight I felt like changing things up a little bit. My shoe basket has been driving me crazy so I rearranged the shoe area, taking the Baker's Rack we got from the Watson's (thanks again Todd and Elisa) and deciding to use it to keep our shoes organized. I even used some little brackets to hook it to the wall to keep Lily and Will from pulling it down. I know, I know, I am super handy! I even used the drill. The Baker's Rack has been concerning me lately. Will keeps trying to climb on it, but it just seems so wobbly. Now it is very secure and is being put to a better use. I also moved the Coat Rack of Death to a less deadly area. All this because my satellite is out again :(

Snow Angels!

Today after Jack got home from school, our friend Emma from Cottonwood, AZ came over to play with the boys. Her dad is speaking at Joshua this week. Our schedule has been pretty busy this week so we didn't know if we would get together, but they had so much fun. They played outside for 2 hours. They made snow angels, collected deadly icicles, and went sledding. It was so fun to see Emma and Robb. I only wish the rest of the family could have come. I will have to wait for summer.

Winter Wonderland!

It has been snowing off and on since we got up this morning. I think we have about 9-12" of new snow since last night. It is beautiful here right now (as long as you don't have to go anywhere...) The trees are still full of snow and the ground is covered with a powdery white softness.

A friendly gesture...

Today was the first time I have hope that Lily and Will will be friends. Lily was playing in her fold up Thomas the Train tent. Will was sitting in his exersaucer. Lily came to me and asked if Will could come into the train with her. I got Will down and Lily helped him into the train. It was very sweet! She was so excited for him to get to be in the train with her!

Surprise!

Stephanie and Meghan came up to visit. They planned on staying for church and then heading back. We were surprise they made it since the weather is so bad! Because it is snowing so bad they will have to leave earlier. It was fun to see them and they returned our long, lost storage box... it has been living with Stephanie and her family in Fresno. I am sure they will miss it!

Proof of Will's skills...

Proof that he knows how to clap... He is filthy from breakfast. He was having prunes and oatmeal.

Hanging out...

This afternoon Shannon and Jayne came over to hang out with us. They made popcorn and visited with us while I paid bills and Darin studied for his teaching. The boys had been tubing outside but came in to rest. They played Wii. and Jayne and Shannon got a chance to watch. Jayne even got to play a little bit. After that we all went to the Snack Shop for dinner. It was a nice relaxing Saturday.

Tube Run!

Will escapes his diaper change!

I know, I know, it's racy but who can resist taking a picture of those cute buns! While I was changing him this morning he squirmed out of my grasps, eager to start playing with toys! It was too cute to pass up.
We have had a nice Friday so far. I babysat for a friend again this morning. The boys went to school. Now the babies are sleeping for a while (cross my fingers) and the big boys are out tubing on the Tube Run out front.
I have been feeling a little withdrawal from city life lately... I haven't been down to Fresno in a while... so I did some online shopping. It's really the next best thing, except no instant gratification. I have to wait for it all to get here. I did find some amazing deals though. I bought some shoes for Jack at Children's Place for 3.99! You can't beat that. I also just bought all of my kids coats from Landsend's Overstocks! Amazing deals! Now I just have to wait and try not to spend more!
Darin is speaking for the camp this weekend so he will be gone a lot which means I will probably get a lot of cleaning done. I am so thankful for the snow play area out front. It is so much fun for the boys. They are finally old enough to put all of their snow clothes on by themselves! It's amazing!

Front teeth, machine guns, guitars and Lego Police Stations...

Jack rocks to Foghat

Hank rocks "Smoke on the Water"

More Lego City...

New front tooth on top!

You can sort of see it!

Darin came home yesterday afternoon and boy were we all happy to see him! It's nice for him to be able to go speak at other places, but we sure miss him here at home! I think he might miss us quite a bit too. He came home bringing fun gifts for everyone. He also bought himself the Playstation3 he has been wanting. It was a fun day for everyone, but most of all we are just glad he is home. Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying their gifts. Will also got a new tooth today. It has been trying to come in for some time now, but it finally poked through today. It is the upper right one.

Tubing, clapping and potty training!

What should I get into next?

Does Mom know she left this open?

I love wipers!

What? I like boots...

Walking up the hill with new friends.

Cutie Jack in his snow clothes!

Cutie Hank in his snow clothes!

Today the boys have been out playing in the snow. The staff that is working the tube runs has allowed them to down the runs today and they are LOVING it. They have mangaed to recruit campers to help them pull the tubes up the hill. They couldn't be having a better time!
Will started clapping for the first time this morning! We tried to capture it on video... it's not the best... Jack really did try though! Will has been busy trying to get into things. He did manage to get into the wipes today.
Lily is trying to wear her big girl underwear today, but doesn't seem to get the concept of waiting to go until she is on the potty. I finally just let her go without. It's a start...

Grumpy and Lazy

It has been such a long day! We were all rudely awakened by Lily at 6:40 when she decided she needed 2 books and then proceeded to scream until I gave in and got her up. It wasn't a good sign on how the day was gonna go...

The boys have been wandering between each of our many video game platforms and the television. They did spend a few hours out in the snow playing with a friend and recruiting high school campers into snowball fights.

Lily is watching a show in her princess pj's (not the ones from last night!) At nap time today she decided that pj's were the only clothing option for her... oh and princess underpants. She wanted to wear them to nap. I was a little hesitant, but it has been such a long day, I just wanted her to take a nap. She did take a nap and was dry 3 hours later! She ended up going in the potty a few minute after waking up... it was a small victory for one who had recently decided she only wanted to wear Elmo baby diapers like Will.

I am exhausted. I am limping around trying to keep Will from crying. He is so grumpy today. I think he is feeling cruddy from the cold he has. He doesn't have a fever and is eating and sleeping okay, but his nose is really yucky. It would make me grouchy. Good thing is he has been sleeping better, giving me hope that one day he will go all night without waking up!

Frozen pizza is on the menu for the boys tonight and scrambled eggs for the girl. I am not up to the dining hall tonight. I plan on having a frozen dinner once they are all in bed. Well that's my update...not too exciting.
