For my mom who does not have Facebook or Twitter

My new haircut and color. It is actually a little bit darker than this picture shows. I guess the red shows better in the sunlight.

Haircutting is not for me.

Today I tried to give Will a "little boy haircut." I have seen it done a bunch of times, so I just thought I would be able to do it, no problem. Turns out hair cutting is not my thing. Luckily, Will is very forgiving. Also it is nice that I do seem to be able to do the shaved off look pretty well. I did feel a little bad as I am trying to cut his precious hair and he says, "Thanks, Mom for doing this to me!" He's so cute, he looks good despite my efforts.

Splash Kingdom!

r

Tonight was our church's Children's Choir performance. Lily, Hank and Jack have been practicing every Sunday afternoon since February for this night. It was wonderful. Jack had a speaking part that he memorized and delivered perfectly. Hank was a lifeguard and had a special singing part with a friend. Lily was wonderful at dancing and singing. It was very cute!

Snackers!

This was after school on Friday. The kids always come home starving and Will is ALWAYS up for a snack. They have been known to finish off a whole bag of tortilla chips or a box of Cheez-its.
Today they are eating Chester's baked popcorn snacks.

Lunch date and Yogurtland after dinner.

Today Will and I got the oil changed in the red car. Then we did a little shopping at the Town Center. We played at the playground there and then Daddy came and met us for lunch. Will got this cute hat. He called it a "booster hat" which I am not sure why. Maybe because the server kept asking if we needed a booster seat?
After dinner we went for Yogurtland. Something about the way Jack is sitting or his expression reminds me of Grandpa.
Will loves yogurt!
Lily got chocolate with lots of cookies and candies! Yum!
Darin got peanut butter cup. Will got chocolate with cookies too.
My favorite is plain tart with berries, mocchi, and candied sunflower seeds. So good!

Squirrel costume

Will's turn.

Tonight I sewed together Lily's squirrel costume for her ballet recital. She is going to be a squirrel in Long Beach Ballet's Cinderella on June 5. She is really excited about it. So we got the costume the other day and it cost $12 for the seamstress to put it together, or it is free for me to sew it. I took it as a challenge. This is the first time I have sewn something for one of my kids to wear. I am not great at sewing, but it does appear that 6th grade home-ec paid off. All the kids wanted to try on the costume!

Hank's Birthday Breakfast (a day early)

We went to Heritage Family Pantry for Hank's birthday breakfast. Since Grandpa was still here we went a day early. We took all his presents with us. He got up so early and was completely dressed and ready before anyone else was up.
Lily loves her Grandpa!
The excited birthday boy!
Will couldn't wait for this either...he was just sure he would be opening some presents today too!
Thanks, Aunt Debbie! Hank and Jack spent most of the afternoon and evening working on this! He LOVES it!
Luckily for Will, he has a super nice big brother. Hank let Will open a present for him!
It was a fun morning!
Funny face!
Grandpa had jam on his toast, so Will gave it a try!

Yummy food!
Hank wanted a pink shirt. Lily got him one and he changed in the restaurant!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the Wii game! The boys played it all morning. Grandpa took a break from playing dolls with Lily to watch them play.
Grandpa and his girl!
Hank wanted purple skinny jeans. We also got him a new pair of shoes.

Jack's 4th grade trip with Grandpa!

Grandpa and Jack left very early on Wednesday morning. They took a chartered Jet Blue jet to Sacramento and then got on a motor coach and went to the capitol building.
