Double take...this is not Lily

The other day Eugenie gave in to Will's whims and put him in this dress. He danced around for a few minutes and then had us take it off of him.

Dumping Snow

It started snowing around 9 this morning and hasn't stopped. The weather report estimated 2-3 feet of snow...I think it may be accurate. We probably have 18 inches so far and it is still going strong. It is supposed to snow until early tomorrow morning. It is beautiful, but kind of a pain. I went out to shovel some, but it was too much for me to do in one sitting. The kids and I went out once for a short time, but it was cold and really deep so we came in to the warm fire. :)

Glitter, glitter everywhere!
Loading on the glue for some GLITTER!!!!
The finished Valentine's Day Cards!
We chose to hand out boxes of candy instead of cards. (he only has 8 kids in his class and Jack has 11)
This is the cheesy pose Lily gives me when she sees the camera...it is tough to try to get a decent normal pose. :)Today I helped Hank decorate his Valentine's mailbox for school. It isn't due until Friday but Darin and I are going out of town on Thursday for the weekend and tomorrow I teach ballet all afternoon, so this was the right time for the project. Lily has been wanting to make Valentines Day cards too so I thought since the glitter and stuff would already be out...we would GO FOR IT! It was messy but we had a fun time decorating the box and the cards. Jack's class is having a small party too but he only needed to put names on his Valentine's he's going to give out to his classmates. It was a pretty busy afternoon, but I got it all done and mopped the kitchen floor! Amazing.

Boxsled Blitz

Darin is speaking this weekend for the camp and he is a judge for the Boxsled Blitz tonight. It is a late night competition in which the campers design a bobsled out of cardboard and then ride it down the tube run. Jack and Hank always want to go, but since it doesn't begin until 10:30 pm and often lasts until midnight, they don't usually get to go. But because Darin is judging and because in California there is no school tomorrow, we decided they could go. They went to bed at their normal 7:30 bedtime and then we woke them at 10:30 and put snow clothes on them. The tube run is just out our front door so it is just a short walk to where they are going. Both were in a sleep coma and barely knew what was going on as we dressed them, yet they still insisted on going. Darin and I wish we could trade places with them and go to bed while they go out and see the sleds in the freezing cold. I of course stayed in with Will and Lily but I am going to hurry to bed so Darin has to put them back to bed! Ha Ha.
